In the early days physiotherapy implied administration of massage and conducting some exercises. But with the recognition of Physiotherapy as a complete subject of study, every major government, private and corporate hospitals has a full fledged dept. of Physiotherapy. Majority of sporting teams are now accompanied by physiotherapists. Thus a student of physiotherapy has now a number of options after graduation. He can easily find employment (In Health clubs, Hospitals, Sports and Spastic centers etc.),start his own physiotherapy centre and go for higher studies. According to W.H.O. there should be one physiotherapist on every ten thousand person. This reflects the vast scope of Physiotherapist in our country.
